One of the challenges that organizations have experienced with MemberHub is the ability to communicate at multiple levels within their organization. For example, many of you have created an organization-wide hub, but you’ve always had to remember to add new people to that hub along with any other groups they need to collaborate with. A new feature in MemberHub called Hub Trees is designed to help our customers communicate more efficiently at all levels in their organization. Read more…

Announcements – New and Improved
Posted by Matt Harrell on February 4th, 2013 | 6 Comments »
Sending text messages has been an integral feature in MemberHub from the very beginning. Calendar event reminders can be sent via text message, but the primary way administrators send text messages is through MemberHub’s Announcements feature. We’ve made a change to Announcements that we anticipate will be well received! Essentially, we have removed the 160-character limit that was placed on new Announcements. Read more…
Whiteboards Enhancements
Posted by Matt Harrell on December 11th, 2012 | No Comments »
We’ve made some small tweaks to the Whiteboards feature. Nothing too fancy, but very much needed. As a reminder, Whiteboards are an easy way for groups to create simple signup sheets, brainstorm ideas on a particular topic, or to post additional information for members of their hub. Whiteboards have version tracking and members can edit the whiteboard content or leave a comment at the bottom. Read more…

We have released an enhancement to the Discussions feature in MemberHub. It has been redesigned for improved readability and and browsing.

What happens when you have a visitor at your church, school or YMCA? When someone comes to worship with you on Sunday or if a parent walks in your preschool and asks for a tour, what happens after they leave? Do you follow-up with them? Read more…
New Feature: Show on Main Calendar
Posted by Matt Harrell on February 22nd, 2012 | No Comments »
We’ve made an enhancement to our calendars in MemberHub. Hopefully, you’ve taken advantage of the Main Calendar feature for organization-wide events. Those events show up on all calendars and reminders go to everyone. However, sometimes a group might need to post something on their hub calendar but still let everyone know about it…especially if the group is planning on using a particular location that others in the organization may need at that time. Enter the new Show on Main Calendar checkbox for hub events. Read more…
iCalendar Feeds Now Include the Hub Name
Posted by Matt Harrell on February 13th, 2012 | No Comments »

One very handy feature in MemberHub is the ability to subscribe to calendar events and have them automatically push to your personal calendar system like iCal, Outlook, GMail calendar and smartphones. If you subscribe to your organization’s Main Calendar feed (as opposed to each hub calendar separately) you get all your hub calendar events in one feed. Sometimes it can be difficult to tell which hub the event came from. Well not now! Read more…
Add a Map to Your Next Event – New Feature
Posted by Matt Harrell on December 16th, 2011 | No Comments »
We’ve introduced an enhancement to events in MemberHub. Events can now have a map associated with them. When someone clicks on the event link inside a MemberHub calendar if an address has been provided, there will be a link to a Google map. Clicking that link will open a new tab with a large Google map for someone to easily view and get directions. This link will also get included in event notification and reminder emails. Read more…
Setting Up Your Family in MemberHub – New Feature
Posted by Matt Harrell on December 2nd, 2011 | No Comments »
We used to allow any user in MemberHub to edit their family members…but long story short, it became unwieldy. So we gave control over setting up families strictly to admins. However, we’ve had many customers (mainly churches) that have wanted to give the responsibility back to their members to configure their families and help setup the member directory. So, we’ve added it back. Read more…
Main Calendar – New Feature
Posted by Matt Harrell on September 7th, 2011 | 1 Comment »

We have made an enhancement to the combined calendar feature in MemberHub. When you’re logged into MemberHub there is a Calendar link at the top. This Calendar has always served as just a read-only view of events from all the hub calendars that you’re a member of. For example, if you are in the Facility Team Hub and Worship Team Hub at your church, you’ll see events from both of those group calendars. You can adjust which color the events show up in, but this “combined calendar” has been read-only; until now. Read more…
